Job Description

Job Overview Heavy Diesel Mechanic, Working on semi trucks and equipment. Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, electrical systems, air brakes, and suspension components. Conduct repairs and maintenance on light and heavy duty trucks and equipment such as skid steers, loaders and farm equipment , and other heavy equipment to ensure optimal performance. Troubleshoot equipment issues efficiently by analyzing mechanical problems and implementing effective solutions to minimize downtime. Service and repair farm machinery and industrial equipment while adhering to manufacturer specifications and safety standards. Conduct dot inspections, brake repairs, alignment adjustments, HVAC system maintenance, and electrical diagnostics to keep all equipment running smoothly. Maintain detailed service records, complete inspection reports, and update maintenance logs to ensure compliance with safety regulations and operational standards. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, electrical systems, and air brakes. Skilled in using schematics for troubleshooting complex systems accurately. Proficient with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques for on-the-spot repairs. Experience working with construction machinery such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors-trailers, and other industrial equipment. Ability to perform electrical diagnostics including wiring repairs and system troubleshooting. Capable of heavy lifting safely while maintaining high standards of safety protocols. Excellent customer service skills for interacting with clients or team members regarding repairs or maintenance needs. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues accurately using schematics or diagnostic software. Experience in welding (including soldering), alignment work, HVAC maintenance, and general equipment assembly or repair is preferred. Pay:
$25.00 - $30.00 per hour
