Job Description

Diesel Mechanic USA Waste and Recycling USA Waste and Recycling, Inc Position Summary:
The Diesel Mechanic is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, cleaning, and inspecting diesel and natural gas-powered trucks. This position requires a valid driver's license.
Your Role:
Troubleshooting and maintaining a fleet of trucks. Welding Take an active role in improving safety and health in the workplace. Participate in all required Company meetings, including weekly safety meetings. Maintains reasonable, regular, and punctual attendance consistent with Company policies, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), and other federal, state, and local standards. Adapts to changing duties, as required, based on business needs.
Your Skills:
Ability to use various vehicle maintenance tools such as hand, electric, pneumatic, jacking, safety stands, and electronic testing equipment. Ability to receive, understand, and follow oral and written instructions. Ability to read and understand parts of service manuals. Ability to prepare legible and understandable work orders and schedule completion sheets. Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions.
Requirements :
High School Diploma or Equivalent A driver's License/CDL B is a plus. Must supply own tools ASE Certification Two Motor and Air brake certification is a plus Demonstrated mechanical skills. 2-5 years of experience in a transport environment Gritty, outgoing, and eager to learn. The environment is fast-paced, and the person in this role must be proactive, hardworking, highly organized, and an independent critical thinker.
