Job Description
J Full-Time Fleet Diesel & Gas Mechanic Earn Up to $46 per HOUR | Company Vehicle Provided We are seeking an experienced, dependable Diesel and Gas Fleet Mechanic to manage the inspection, maintenance, and repair of our commercial delivery fleet. The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience working with step vans and cargo vans, particularly: Freightliner P-Class diesel and gas step vans Ford E-350 gas chassis Large Ford step vans Commercial step vans of various makes and models Gas and diesel cargo vans Responsibilities Manage the day-to-day maintenance and repair needs of the fleet Perform scheduled fleet inspections and preventive maintenance Diagnose and repair diesel and gasoline engines Troubleshoot electrical, starting, charging, and lighting systems Repair brakes, suspension, steering, cooling, HVAC, and drivetrain systems Perform oil changes, tune-ups, filter replacements, and other routine services Diagnose check-engine lights and other mechanical or electrical problems Respond to roadside breakdowns and emergency repair calls Determine whether vehicles can be repaired on-site or must be sent to an outside shop Track repairs, inspections, parts, and maintenance schedules Identify safety issues and ensure vehicles are safe and ready for operation Coordinate outside repairs when specialized service is required Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Qualifications Strong experience repairing both diesel and gasoline commercial vehicles Proven experience with Freightliner P-Class step vans Experience with Ford E-350 chassis and large Ford step vans Experience maintaining commercial step vans and cargo vans Strong diagnostic and electrical troubleshooting skills Knowledge of brakes, suspension, steering, cooling systems, HVAC, and drivetrains Ability to perform roadside repairs and work independently Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record Must be dependable, organized, responsive, and capable of managing an active fleet Must have personal hand tools; larger or specialized equipment may be provided Compensation and Benefits Full-time position Pay of up to $46 AN HOUR , based on experience and qualifications Company vehicle provided for work-related travel and roadside calls Stable, long-term employment Opportunity to manage and take ownership of an active commercial fleet We are looking for a knowledgeable, hands-on mechanic who understands the urgency of keeping delivery vehicles safe, reliable, and on the road.
