Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Diesel Mechanic to join our dynamic maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty diesel-powered equipment, including construction machinery, farm machinery, industrial equipment, and vehicle fleets. Your expertise will ensure optimal performance, safety, and reliability of our equipment assets. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics on diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, suspensions, hydraulics, electrical systems, and HVAC components using schematics and diagnostic tools. Conduct repairs and maintenance on construction machinery such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors, and other heavy equipment to ensure operational efficiency. Fabricate parts or components as needed using welding and hand tools to support equipment repairs or modifications. Troubleshoot complex issues related to OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) systems and heavy equipment operation. Replace or repair tires, perform wheel alignments, and service air brake systems to maintain safety standards. Maintain detailed service records, complete inspection reports, and adhere to safety protocols during all repair activities. Assist with equipment assembly, testing, and commissioning after repairs or upgrades. Skills Proven dealership experience with heavy equipment servicing is highly preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, and electrical diagnostics. Skilled in fabrication techniques including welding and soldering; capable of using power tools effectively. Experience working with construction machinery such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors-trailers, and farm machinery. Ability to read schematics and technical manuals for troubleshooting electrical systems and mechanical components. Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on equipment troubleshooting and repair accuracy. Customer service orientation with clear communication skills to explain repairs and maintenance procedures effectively.
