Job Description
Love's Travel Stops & Country Stores is seeking a skilled Diesel Technician to keep our professional drivers safely on the road. In this role, you'll diagnose and repair diesel engines, drivetrains, brakes, and electrical systems while performing preventive maintenance and DOT inspections. You'll work in a fast-paced, customer-focused shop, using modern diagnostic tools and receiving ongoing training. Responsibilities Diagnose and repair diesel engines, drivetrains, and related truck systems Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and safety checks on heavy-duty vehicles Use diagnostic tools and technical manuals to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues Complete accurate repair orders, documentation, and parts usage in shop systems Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow all safety and environmental procedures Communicate clearly with drivers, managers, and team members about repairs and timelines Participate in ongoing training to stay current with new equipment and service procedures Support a customer-focused, fast-paced shop environment in alignment with company values Required Skills Diesel engine diagnostics Heavy-duty truck repair Preventive maintenance Hydraulic and air brake systems Electrical and electronic troubleshooting Use of diagnostic scan tools DOT and safety inspections Technical documentation and repair orders Shop safety practices Customer communication
