Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Diesel Mechanic Service Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining Semi Tractors and Semi Tractor-Trailers, including diesel engines, hydraulic systems, transmissions, and electrical components. Your expertise will ensure that equipment operates safely and efficiently. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics on diesel engines and heavy equipment using OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) schematics and electrical testing tools. Conduct repairs and maintenance on semi tractors and semi tractor-trailers, including brake repair, transmission servicing, suspension work, and air brake systems. Troubleshoot equipment issues related to hydraulics, air systems, electrical systems, HVAC components, and mechanical failures to identify root causes efficiently. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and soldering techniques to execute repairs with precision and safety. Conduct equipment inspections and preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and extend machinery lifespan. Assist in fabrication tasks such as welding or custom modifications for specialized equipment needs. Maintain detailed service records, complete inspection reports, and ensure compliance with safety standards during all repair activities. Requirements Proven experience working as a diesel mechanic or service technician in a dealership or heavy equipment environment. Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, electrical diagnostics, and heavy machinery maintenance. Familiarity with OEM schematics and automotive diagnostics tools for accurate troubleshooting. Hands-on experience with machinery servicing including excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors-trailers, and other industrial equipment. Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently during repairs or testing procedures. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other maintenance-related tools. Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on equipment troubleshooting and repair accuracy. Strong customer service orientation with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to team members or clients.
