Full Job Description Job Summary:
As a mechanic this individual is required to have the ability to troubleshoot heavy equipment problems, including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic components. The successful candidate will carry out preventative maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment to ensure that everything is always working. Must have a valid driver's license and be able to take home the service truck. Must have your own essential tools.
Essential Functions:
Routine Servicing and overhauling of all heavy equipment Inspect, repair and adjust diesel power units, hydraulic systems, electrical systems. Comply with all safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work area including service truck Troubleshooting skills in electrical and mechanical areas Complete various assignments and projects as assigned.
Knowledge,Skills and Abilities:
Work in various types of weather conditions Basic electrical wiring Troubleshoot equipment problems, knowledge of Diesel Engines and System required Experience in heavy Forestry equipment (Grinders, Loader, Excavators) Must be physically able to perform the requirements of the job
