Job Description
Position Summary Concurrent Utility Services division is seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic for each of our Miami and Rockledge locations, to join our growing fleet maintenance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining our fleet of heavy-duty trucks, utility vehicles, trailers, and construction equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation. This position requires a self-motivated individual with strong diagnostic skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, drivetrains, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems. Perform preventative maintenance on heavy-duty trucks, bucket trucks, digger derricks, pickups, trailers, and construction equipment. Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues. Complete DOT inspections and ensure fleet compliance with federal and state regulations. Perform brake, steering, suspension, and cooling system repairs. Repair and replace components including starters, alternators, injectors, radiators, and fuel systems. Maintain accurate service and repair records. Inspect vehicles for safety concerns and recommend necessary repairs. Respond to emergency roadside or jobsite repairs when needed. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Work closely with Fleet Management to minimize equipment downtime. Qualifications Minimum 3 years of diesel mechanic experience preferred. Experience working on medium- and heavy-duty trucks and construction equipment. Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and diagnostics. Ability to use computerized diagnostic equipment. Valid driver's license required. CDL (or ability to obtain one) is a plus. Welding and fabrication experience is a plus. Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work in various weather conditions.
