The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background and be proficient in a variety of technical skills. Summary Diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel-powered vehicles and machinery, performing tasks like inspections, routine maintenance, and complex repairs. Duties and Responsibilities 1. Repairs vehicles as needed and performs diagnostic triage on incoming vehicles to service 2. Ensures that repairs are performed correctly and efficiently 3. Understands and ensures compliance with manufacturer warranty and policy procedures 4. Maintains high quality service repairs and minimize come backs 5. Test drives completed work Minimum Job Requirements Diesel Technician experience preferred. High school diploma or GED; at least 1 year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Working Conditions and Physical Effort Moderate physical activity. Requires handling of average-weight objects up to 75 pounds or standing and/or walking for more than four (4) hours per day. Work environment involves minimal exposure to physical risks, such as operating dangerous equipment or working with chemicals. Work may involve moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises. Ward Trucks promotes a safe, drug-free workplace.
