Are you driven by opportunity? Nextran Truck Centers is hiring! Job Duties The Diesel Technician is a skilled position that is responsible for repairing and maintaining our customers Medium & Heavy-Duty Trucks. This includes diagnosing issues, preventative maintenance, repairs, disassembly and re-assembly, and writing detailed work notes. Diagnoses cause of malfunctions and performs repairs. Performs work outlined on repair order efficiently and accurately. Communicates with parts department to obtain needed parts. Communicates with Service Advisor on repair updates and/or delays. Documents all work performed and recommended on the repair order. Understands, keeps abreast and complies with federal, state and local regulations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA, etc. Skills and Qualifications Heavy-duty truck repair experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Personal tools. Basic Hand Tools ASE Certification a plus Experience with Mack, Volvo, Isuzu, Cummins heavy-duty trucks and engines. Basic computer skills Valid CDL a plus Physical Demands Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. Use of torque wrenches, air powered tools and hand tools. Use of arms in a raised position above shoulder level for prolonged periods of time. Frequently required to walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk and hear. Entry and exit safely in and out of truck cab. Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds, and occasionally life and/or move more than 100 pounds.
Compensation :
