North Tampa / Lutz / Wesley Chapel (Shop in Land O' Lakes, FL•33618 area)

Pay:

$31•41/hour (give or take, depending on experience) + overtime•discussed in interview.

Full-Time | Long-Term | Day Shift | Shop Environment We are seeking a highly experienced Diesel Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team in a shop-based role supporting both company-owned and rental equipment — including cement / ready-mix trucks . This is a senior-level position for mechanics who can diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair diesel and heavy equipment independently. This is not an entry-level or training role . If you are not already a seasoned diesel or heavy equipment mechanic, this position will not be a fit. What You'll Be Doing Repairing and maintaining diesel-powered heavy equipment and concrete trucks Diagnosing and troubleshooting diesel, hydraulic, and electrical systems Performing preventative maintenance and major mechanical repairs Completing work orders and service records using web-based systems Working with other senior mechanics to improve shop processes Communicating effectively with operations and leadership Leading by example in safety, professionalism, and quality of work Identifying and correcting safety hazards Following all shop and company safety procedures What You Must Have (Non-Negotiable) 5+ years of hands-on experience as a diesel, heavy equipment, or fleet mechanic Strong knowledge of: Diesel engines Hydraulic systems Electrical diagnostics Ability to read and interpret: Schematics Diagrams Technical manuals Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Reliable transportation Equipment Experience (Strongly Preferred) Experience working on equipment such as: Cement / ready-mix trucks Cranes Excavators Concrete pumps Foundation drilling rigs Bauer, Liebherr, CAT, Komatsu, or similar equipment Additional Qualifications (Plus, Not Required) Welding / fabrication experience OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 This Role Is NOT For Entry-level mechanics Helpers or apprentices General maintenance technicians Candidates without diesel or heavy equipment experience Anyone needing constant supervision or training What We Offer Competitive hourly pay based on real experience Overtime opportunities Stable, long-term position Consistent shop work (no field travel) Professional, safety-focused work environment Work on high-level diesel and heavy equipment Final Word We are intentionally seeking a true senior diesel and heavy equipment mechanic .
