The role of the B Technician is to perform heavy-duty mechanical repair under general supervision, receive on-the-job training in a development program to achieve A
  • Level Technician Status.
Role Summary The B-Level Technician performs the majority of routine repair work and moderate diagnostics within the service department. Primary Responsibilities Perform scheduled maintenance and equipment inspections. Diagnose and repair common mechanical and hydraulic issues. Complete moderate component repairs including cooling systems, fuel systems, and hydraulic components. Assist A-Level Technicians with major repairs. Experience Typically 3-7 years experience
Performance Expectations Recovery Rate:
85-95% Able to complete most repairs independently Continued development toward A-Level Technician status. Computer Experience Tool Requirements B-Level Technicians must provide a standard professional tool set capable of completing most mechanical repairs.
Typical tools include:
Metric and standard hand tools Basic torque tools Electrical test equipment Personal tool storage Specialized diagnostic tools and manufacturer-specific equipment will be provided by the dealership.
