IMPORTANT

Applicants must have prior hands-on BUS maintenance/repair experience and must be available to work weekends. We are seeking an experienced Diesel Bus Mechanic / Shop Foreman to join our maintenance team. The ideal candidate will have proven experience maintaining and repairing commercial buses and passenger transportation vehicles. This position is responsible for ensuring our fleet remains safe, reliable, DOT compliant, and ready for daily passenger service. Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain diesel-powered buses and commercial passenger vehicles.
• Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, steering, suspension, electrical systems, HVAC systems, and other vehicle components.
• Troubleshoot check-engine lights, electrical faults, warning systems, and other mechanical issues.
• Complete emergency and unscheduled repairs as needed to minimize vehicle downtime.
• Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records.
• Perform pre- and post-repair inspections.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment.
• Work closely with operations to prioritize repairs and ensure buses are available for scheduled service.

REQUIRED

Qualifications

• Previous professional BUS mechanic experience is

REQUIRED.

• Experience working on minibuses, shuttle buses, motorcoaches, or similar commercial passenger vehicles is strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines and commercial vehicle systems.
• Experience with air brake systems, electrical diagnostics, suspension, steering, and preventive maintenance.
• Ability to use diagnostic equipment and repair tools and an understanding of after treatment systems.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. (CDL preferred)
• Knowledge of DOT vehicle safety requirements preferred.
• Must have own tools.
• Must be able to safely lift, bend, kneel, climb, and work underneath commercial vehicles.

Schedule - Weekend Availability Required

THIS POSITION REQUIRES WEEKEND WORK.

Candidates must be available to work Saturdays or Sundays as needed in case of emergency breakdowns or if needed for extra work on weekends.
