Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team, responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of heavy-duty diesel equipment and vehicles. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, experience with heavy machinery, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse equipment including farm machinery, industrial equipment, and vehicle fleets, ensuring optimal performance and safety. Duties Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, and air brake systems on various heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and tractor-trailers Perform routine maintenance including oil changes, tire service, shocks & struts replacement, and brake repairs Fabricate and modify components using power tools, welding equipment, and hand tools as needed Read and interpret schematics and technical manuals for complex repairs Conduct vehicle diagnostics utilizing specialized tools to identify issues accurately Repair or replace electrical components and perform soldering when necessary Maintain detailed service records for all repairs and maintenance activities Assist with assembly or disassembly of machinery during repairs or upgrades Ensure all work complies with safety standards and industry regulations Skills Proven dealership experience or extensive mechanic experience with heavy equipment and automotive repair Proficiency in automotive diagnostics, electrical systems, hydraulics, HVAC systems, and engine repair (including diesel engines) Hands-on experience with fabrication, welding (including TIG/MIG), and use of power tools Knowledge of schematics for troubleshooting complex mechanical or electrical issues Ability to operate heavy machinery such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and other industrial equipment safely and effectively Familiarity with farm machinery, vehicle maintenance including transmissions and alignment services Strong mechanical knowledge combined with excellent problem-solving skills Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in a variety of repair scenarios Customer service skills for interacting professionally with clients or team members when needed This position requires a dedicated professional with a strong work ethic who is committed to maintaining high standards of safety and quality. Candidates should have relevant experience in automotive or heavy equipment repair to ensure they can meet the demands of this dynamic role.
