  • 7:30am (OT available, not required) Pay range $37
  • $45 hour based on certifications and experience.

BASIC PURPOSE

: To provide a safe and reliable fleet by performing preventative maintenance and proper repairs on all fleet equipment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Troubleshoot, diagnose, rebuild, replace and complete all required repairs on diesel reefer equipment (THERMO

KING & CARRIER TRAILER REFRIGERATION

SYSTEMS, Reefer Microprocessors, etc.). Perform preventative maintenance within manufacturer standards. Mentor other maintenance shop personnel. Receive road calls, assign third party vendor, and work with business partners on plan of action. Utilize fleet maintenance software system tablet to fully document equipment repair and parts used. Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with workplace safety rules and regulations and government guidelines. Willingness and capacity to assume increased responsibility and certifications. Other duties as assigned by manager.

QUALIFICATIONS

Must have 3 years of verifiable hands-on experience as a Fleet Reefer/Refrigeration technician. TK/Carrier Refrigeration Certifications. Must be willing to travel and attend training provided by US Foods. Diagnostic and troubleshooting competency relating to reefer equipment repairs. Successfully demonstrated independent analytical and problem-solving skills. Must furnish own personal hand tools. Ability to read and understand technical and online service manuals. High school diploma or equivalent required. EPA 608 (Type 2 or Universal) & EPA 609 Certifications Must possess a valid driver's license.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Ability to comply with EPA and

OSHA & DOT

regulations as pertaining to the shop and fleet. Computer and software experience/ Noregon Diag Equip/A/C Recovery, Etc. Able to repair and overhaul warehouse equipment. Welding ability Valid Class A CDL license and DOT certification

The associate in this role is expected to perform assigned responsibilities inside a US Foods maintenance facility. Must be willing to work in extreme temperatures and weather conditions.

The expected base rate for this role is between $35 and $45​ This role may also receive overtime compensation where applicable.
