Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Diesel Mechanic to join our dynamic maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for repairing, and maintaining a wide range of Diesel Trucks and vehicle fleets. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with diverse equipment types in a fast-paced environment committed to excellence. Duties Perform comprehensive repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, air brakes, suspension, and HVAC components. Conduct routine maintenance and repairs. Troubleshoot complex mechanical issues involving fabrication, welding, soldering, and power tools to restore equipment functionality quickly and safely. Inspect and repair vehicle systems Communicate detailed service records documenting repairs performed, parts used, and diagnostic findings for compliance and future reference. Assist in equipment assembly and disassembly for repairs or upgrades while adhering to safety protocols. Support heavy lifting operations during repairs or equipment installation using appropriate heavy equipment operation techniques. Experience Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic with dealership experience preferred. Expertise in automotive repairs with a focus on diesel engine repair and troubleshooting issues. Hands-on experience with fabrication techniques such as welding and soldering; familiarity with schematics is essential. Knowledge of OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) parts and systems for various brands including Caterpillar and other industrial equipment manufacturers. Skilled in electrical diagnostics involving electrical systems troubleshooting across vehicles.
