This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with trucks, tools, and mechanical equipment and wants to learn the diesel mechanic trade through on-the-job training.

Responsibilities include:

Assist experienced mechanics with diesel truck repairs and maintenance Learn basic diesel engine, brake, suspension, electrical, and preventative maintenance procedures Clean and maintain the mechanic shop and work areas Organize tools, equipment, parts, and supplies Receive, label, stock, and locate truck parts Help with oil changes, filters, fluids, tires, batteries, and other basic maintenance Assist with inspecting trucks and identifying maintenance needs Clean parts and equipment before and after repairs Help mechanics retrieve tools and parts during repair jobs Properly dispose of used fluids, filters, parts, and shop materials Maintain shop safety and cleanliness standards Assist with inventory counts and notify management when supplies or parts are running low Perform other shop and maintenance duties as assigned

What We're Looking For:

No professional diesel mechanic experience required Strong interest in learning diesel mechanics Dependable and willing to work Able to follow instructions and learn from experienced mechanics Comfortable working with tools and around trucks and heavy equipment Able to lift and move parts, tools, and equipment as required Good organizational skills Positive attitude and strong work ethic Must be willing to keep the shop clean and organized as part of the job Mechanical, automotive, trade-school, or hands-on experience is a plus, but not required
