We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented professional to join our team, where you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of diesel-powered equipment. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with diverse machinery including construction equipment, farm machinery, industrial vehicles, and heavy-duty trucks. Your expertise will ensure that our fleet remains reliable, safe, and efficient, supporting our commitment to excellence in service and operations. Duties Must have minimum 2-3 years experience Perform comprehensive diagnostics on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, electrical systems, and air brake components using schematics and advanced diagnostic tools. Hands-on experience repairing and maintaining Freightliner Cascadia trucks. Strong knowledge of Detroit DD15 engines and related systems. Ability to diagnose mechanical and electronic faults and determine the correct repair Experience using Detroit Diagnostic Link or similar heavy-duty diagnostic software. Engine diagnostics and repair, including fuel, cooling, intake, exhaust, and lubrication systems. Knowledge of aftertreatment and emissions systems, including DPF, DEF, SCR, sensors, and forced regeneration. Experience diagnosing and repairing air brake systems, air leaks, valves, chambers, and related components. Brake service, including pads/shoes, drums/rotors, wheel-end inspection, and adjustment. Suspension and steering diagnostics and repair. Wheel seals, hubs, bearings, and axle-related repairs. Electrical troubleshooting, including wiring, connectors, batteries, charging systems, starters, lights, and sensors. Cooling system diagnostics and repair, including coolant leaks, hoses, radiators, thermostats, and water pumps. HVAC and A/C diagnostics and repair is strongly preferred. Ability to perform preventive maintenance (PM), inspections, oil changes, filters, lubrication, and general service. Transmission and clutch repair experience is a plus, including Detroit DT12 systems. Ability to safely use shop equipment, jacks, impact tools, torque wrenches, diagnostic equipment, and other heavy-duty tools. Must be able to work independently, troubleshoot efficiently, and complete repairs correctly. Must have own basic mechanic hand tools. Valid driver's license required; CDL is a plus but not required Responsibilities Diagnose and repair heavy-duty trucks and related systems Perform preventive maintenance and DOT-style vehicle inspections. Identify needed repairs and communicate parts and repair requirements clearly. Complete repairs accurately and within a reasonable timeframe. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Schedule Tuesday-Saturday 9am-6pm 1 hour lunch break Qualifications Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic with dealership experience preferred; strong background in heavy equipment mechanics is essential. Extensive knowledge of diesel engine diagnostics, automotive diagnostics, schematics reading, and electrical systems troubleshooting. Skilled in fabrication techniques such as welding and soldering; capable of working with hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment. Familiarity with tractors-trailers Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while adhering to safety protocols; experience with tire service and alignment is a plus. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with team members and clients. Certifications related to heavy equipment operation or diesel engine repair are advantageous; valid certifications in HVAC or electrical experience are a plus.
