Summary:
Assist and cooperate with the Fleet Maintenance Personager to maintain and repair units assigned to the fleet. Key Tasks and Responsibilities Works as directed by the Fleet Maintenance Manager. Conforms to company attendance policies. Wears company-supplied uniforms and required safety equipment. Maintains a neat, clean appearance during work hours. Schedules PMs with the Fleet Maintenance Manager. Completes scheduled PMs for all fleet units. Provides service times to minimize vehicle downtime. Completes work orders for all repairs and maintenance performed, as well as for each service. Provides daily, weekly, and monthly reports to the Fleet Maintenance Manager on any vehicle maintenance issues. Completes all paperwork according to company policies, including but not limited to vehicle inspection reports, maintenance work orders, and inventory reports. Uses proper equipment and follows established operating procedures to perform all duties safely and efficiently. Reports all accidents, spills, and injuries to the Fleet Maintenance Manager immediately, following UES Emergency Response Procedures. Provides outstanding customer service and satisfaction; customers include drivers, operators, and management. Establishes and maintains effective work relationships with employees and managers. Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Very good knowledge of DOT maintenance and safety equipment requirements Able to read written instructions, complete required paperwork, and perform basic math calculations. Must be familiar with all company policies and procedures regarding safety and operations. Must have a working knowledge of all applicable rules, regulations, and laws of the State and Federal government related to the collection and transportation of used oil, specifically as they pertain to tanker and truck maintenance and compliance with DOT regulations Good planning and organizational skills, with the ability to apply them effectively to work requirements. Good verbal communication skills, able to communicate effectively with Fleet Maintenance Manager and other employees Able to work under pressure. Physical Demands/Working Conditions Physical activity includes bending, reaching, stretching, climbing in/out of tractors and on top of tanks, pulling and carrying items weighing up to 75 lbs, and moving items weighing up to 400 lbs with proper equipment.
