- Durafleet Alpharetta Mechanic responsibilities: Perform preventive maintenance services for commercial fleet customers Diagnose and repair diesel, gasoline, electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems Perform roadside repairs and emergency service calls as needed Troubleshoot no-start conditions, electrical faults, brake systems, suspension systems, and drivability issues Complete inspections and identify maintenance recommendations Accurately document repairs, inspections, and labor using mobile technology Communicate professionally with fleet managers, drivers, and clients Maintain company vehicle, tools, inventory, and equipment Deliver safe, reliable, and professional service in the field•Vehicles & Equipment our technicians service: Light-duty fleet vehicles Medium-duty trucks Heavy-duty trucks Diesel-powered vehicles Gas-powered vehicles Commercial fleet equipment Trailers and related equipment Off-Highway Construction Equipment RV's•Durafleet Alpharetta candidate minimum experience: 3+ years of experience as a Diesel Technician, Fleet Mechanic, Heavy Equipment Mechanic, Automotive Technician, or Mobile Mechanic Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills Experience using scan tools and diagnostic software Ability to work independently in a mobile environment Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail Professional communication and customer service skills Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Ability to safely lift, carry, push, and pull tools, parts, and equipment Must provide personal hand tools Ability to pass pre-employment screening as required by law and company policies•Preferred Qualifications Mobile repair experience Fleet maintenance experience ASE Certifications DOT inspection experience CDL (not required) Experience with medium-duty and heavy-duty trucks Roadside service experience•Schedule Full-time Monday-Friday Overtime available Occasional after-hours or weekend emergency calls based on client needs•Physical Requirements & Work Environment The technician will perform primarily in the field and requires working outdoors in varying weather conditions throughout DuraFleet's service area.
