Job Description
Key Responsibilities Performs daily inspections of equipment on site to ensure they are ready for use and are in working order. Responsible for the maintenance and repair of diesel-powered vehicles. Performs emergency spot repairs to get equipment back to a safe and operating condition. Drives company service truck to different locations for repairs on the go Checks fluids in all equipment as well as air pressure and other critical systems to the equipment. Troubleshoots, tests and diagnose equipment and company trucks that are in need of repair. Work within precise limits and standards of accuracy. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor as needed. Qualifications 3-5 years prior experience in diesel repair and maintenance. Certification as a heavy equipment mechanic is preferred. DOT Certification is preferred. Ability to weld on site and on the go. Proven work experience as a diesel or heavy equipment mechanic. Proven commitment to safety and teamwork. Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule. Self-motivated with the ability to work well with others. Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency. Proof of Identity and Employment Authorization. Valid clean state driver's license with reliable transportation. Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen & criminal background check. Basic computer skills including Microsoft office and uploading documents and pictures. Physical Requirements Stand or walk for long periods of time. Use arms and hands to reach for, handle or manipulate objects. Lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds; occasionally lift items weighing more than 50 pounds with assistance. Stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl. See well (naturally or with correction). Eye-hand coordination. Good physical fitness.
