JOB SUMMARY

This position is primarily responsible for 1) Maintenance and repair of all company equipment and facilities. 2) Enforcement of safety rules and regulations. 3) Ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations including, but not limited to Federal, State, OSHA, HIOSHA, DOT, EPA, and

HAZMAT. 4

) The maintenance and upkeep of a presentable/professional fleet of vehicles and supporting operations equipment.

Qualification:

1 year of mechanical experience with gas and diesel engine is preferred but not necessary. High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in diesel vehicle repair preferred but not necessary. Experienced using welding equipment, diagnostic equipment, and hand and power tools Experienced with brake system Valid Hawaii driver's license Ability to diagnose and solve problems

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Completes preventive maintenance (PM) inspections every 90 days (as required by company guidelines) and to keep a file on each vehicle with that documentation as assigned by Fleet Manager 2. Responsible that all repairs are completed on a timely basis as assigned by the Fleet Manager. 3. Recommends to Fleet Manager any necessary repairs, and obtains approval for such expenditures prior to commencing work. 4. Responsible for scheduled repairs to facilities as requested by the Fleet Manager. 5. Performs errands and tasks as requested by the Fleet Manager. 6. Responsible that all repairs are done in a safe and sound manner. 7. Responsible for maintaining a safe working environment for all to work in. 8. Ensures you are following and are in compliance with all applicable county, state and or federal regulations.

Authority:

1) Reports drivers that abuse equipment. 2) Recommend repairs or purchases. 3) Reports employees violating safety rules, or not in compliance with applicable state and or federal regulations.
