Job Description
Tractor & Trailer Diesel Technician/Mechanic Fremont Contract Carriers is hiring Diesel Technicians/Mechanics to maintain and repair our tractor and trailer fleet in Council Bluffs, IA. You'll work alongside a team of long-tenured technicians, with training and support available. Training available for individuals with less experience. Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills Ability to read and understand repair manuals Ability to lift/move up to 100 lbs and perform physical work (standing, bending, kneeling, climbing) Tools & Safety Must provide advanced hand tools and a rollaway toolbox Safety glasses required Safety shoes required (steel toe optional) Uniforms provided What You'll Do Perform maintenance, service, and repairs on FCC tractors and trailers Diagnose and repair engines, transmissions, brakes, ABS, electrical/electronic components, air systems, APU units, HVAC/heating, and body components Perform preventative maintenance in compliance with DOT regulations Complete inspections and prepare equipment for the next driver Road test and move units in/out of the shop as needed Complete documentation and work orders accurately and on time Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow safety standards About FCC FCC has been in business for 50+ years and is a leader in truckload transportation and logistics.
