Previous diesel mechanic experience is preferred but not required. We are willing to train the right person who is mechanically inclined, dependable, and ready to learn. Responsibilities Diagnose, troubleshoot, service, and repair diesel trucks and dump trucks Perform routine maintenance and vehicle inspections Assist with repairs involving Cummins and

diesel engines Diagnose and repair brake, suspension, electrical, and emissions/aftertreatment systems Assist with transmission, hydraulic, welding, and fabrication work as needed Complete repairs in the shop and assist with field repairs when necessary Accurately document repairs, parts used, and labor time Identify and communicate additional safety or maintenance concerns Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining high safety and quality standards Keep the shop and work areas clean, organized, and safe Assist with other shop, equipment, and fleet-related duties as assigned Qualifications Previous diesel mechanic, heavy-truck, or heavy-equipment repair experience is preferred but not required Diesel technician education or technical training is a plus Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License [required upon hire] Acceptable driving record and ability to meet the company's vehicle insurance requirements Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities Dependable, detail-oriented, and able to communicate effectively Ability to work independently and as part of a team Must own a basic set of standard mechanic's hand tools HVG provides the specialty and diagnostic tools shared within the shop

Pay:

$28.00 - $36.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
