In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty equipment. Your expertise will ensure that all equipment operates safely, efficiently, and reliably to support our operational goals. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics on transmissions, hydraulics, electrical systems, air brakes, suspension, and HVAC systems using schematics and diagnostic tools. Conduct repairs and maintenance on heavy equipment such as tractors, trailers, Troubleshoot equipment issues efficiently through electrical diagnostics, and mechanical troubleshooting techniques to minimize downtime. Carry out welding, fabrication, brake repair, alignment adjustments, and suspension repairs to ensure optimal performance of all machinery. Utilize hand tools and power tools safely during assembly, disassembly, repairs, and maintenance tasks while adhering to safety protocols. Maintain detailed service records, complete shift reports, and document all repairs using technical schematics for future reference. Support heavy equipment operation when necessary and assist with heavy lifting tasks to facilitate repairs or replacements. Experience Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or Heavy Equipment Technician Skilled in fabrication techniques including welding and soldering for custom repairs or modifications. Extensive knowledge of electrical systems diagnostics and automotive repair practices related to diesel engines. Hands-on experience working with tractors-trailers, HVAC systems, power tools, and schematics is essential. Ability to troubleshoot complex equipment issues involving hydraulics, transmissions, air brakes, suspension systems, and electrical components. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with team members and clients alike.
