The ideal candidate will have thorough experience in heavy duty diesel engine repair and maintenance, as well as an understanding on troubleshooting and repairing electrical, hydraulic and air systems. This role requires a detail-oriented person that can diagnose and perform repairs, maintain a schedule, and communicate effectively. The mobile mechanic will be performing repairs in the field and is based out of a service truck. Responsibilities Diagnose and repair semi trucks, trailers and excavation equipment. Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines. Perform repairs on heavy equipment to support our excavation company. Conduct inspections on tractor-trailer units to ensure compliance with safety standards. Create and maintain a simple schedule for repairs and maintenance. Work on air brake systems, electrical and wiring, drivetrain and suspension components. Document all repairs and maintenance performed on vehicles and equipment. Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency. Skills Proficient in heavy diesel engine repair, as well as overhauling truck engines. Knowledge of heavy equipment operation, particularly Caterpillar machinery. Familiarity with suspension components, air brake systems, and truck electrical systems. Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues effectively and efficiently. Experience with heavy equipment repair. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
