You should be able to perform preventative maintenance service and inspections, trouble shoot mechanical and electrical problems, and repair heavy truck and equipment. We do everything from preventative maintenance to engine work, from electrical to hydraulic. Ideal candidate will have experience working on heavy trucks. Candidate must also have a strong work ethic and exceptional attention to detail. It will also be a vital part of your role as a diesel technician to provide outstanding customer service and maintain effective working relationships with customers, supervisors and co-workers. Diesel truck mechanic duties and responsibilities: Work under limited supervision to accomplish assigned task. Perform repairs and preventative maintenance services on trucks and buses. Perform inspection, diagnose and repair of electrical hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems on vehicles. Utilize vehicle computer electronics systems to diagnose failures. Perform service calls for emergency breakdowns. Conduct safety checks on vehicles. Complete paperwork for inspections. Assist senior technician in completion of task. Review, complete, or assign repairs identified on vehicle inspection report. Ability to work independent and within a team environment. Document work performed and recommended on repair order
