Job Description

Overview We are seeking a skilled and dependable Diesel/Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team in and around the Southern IL, and Evansville Indiana area. This position will require shop work at our home location, with mobile work as needed. The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience in the repair and maintenance of heavy machinery, including excavators, cranes, farm equipment, trucks, and trailers. This position requires strong mechanical knowledge, with an emphasis on diesel engines, hydraulics, and preventative maintenance. The successful candidate will ensure equipment is operating safely, efficiently, and in compliance with regulations. Key Responsibilities Perform maintenance and repairs on a variety of heavy equipment, trucks, and trailers Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues efficiently Conduct preventative maintenance and scheduled service work Complete DOT inspections on fleet vehicles Maintain positive, professional communication with parts vendors and repair shops Respond to road calls as needed (limited basis) Qualifications Proven experience as a mechanic working with heavy equipment or industrial machinery Strong knowledge of diesel engine repair, hydraulics, and automotive systems Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks as required Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a safety-first mindset Valid driver's license (may be required depending on job duties) CDL is a Plus We are looking for a dedicated, hardworking individual who takes pride in their craftsmanship and values safety, efficiency, and teamwork.
