Heavy Equipment Operator Oak Hill Contractors, LLC - Southern Illinois Region & Beyond About Us Oak Hill Contractors, LLC is a family-owned dirt excavating business serving Southern Illinois and the Midwest. We pride ourselves on a team-oriented, family-like environment, while focusing on production, safety, and timeliness to deliver positive outcomes for our clients. Our specialties include land reclamation, land clearing, revegetation, drain projects, and brush mowing. We work with coal mines, landfills, quarries, the USACE, and many other organizations. Position Overview We are seeking experienced Heavy Equipment Operators for both short-term and long-term contract projects across Southern Illinois, the Midwest, and beyond. Travel is required; housing and per diem are provided while on assignment. Responsibilities & Requirements Operate articulating trucks, tractor/pans, scrapers, dozers, and excavators. Experience in surface coal mining, landfills, or solar panel sites is a plus. Must be self-motivated, safety-conscious, and efficient in production and quality. Surface 50023 MSHA certification strongly preferred. Schedule Varying schedule, approximately 10-12 hour days, 5-6 days per week. Every Sunday off guaranteed .
