This position works closely with Fleet Management and Operations teams to ensure equipment reliability, safety, and compliance. Duties and responsibilities Diagnose and repair diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and drivetrains Perform preventative maintenance on trucks, trailers, skid steers, mowers, and other equipment Conduct DOT inspections and ensure fleet compliance Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues Complete work orders and maintenance records accurately Respond to breakdowns and equipment failures as needed Perform welding and fabrication repairs when necessary Assist with equipment setup, upfitting, and seasonal fleet transitions Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Collaborate with branch managers and operations personnel to prioritize repairs 3+ years of diesel mechanic experience Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills Experience working on diesel trucks and commercial equipment Ability to read service manuals, wiring diagrams, and repair documentation Valid driver's license Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions Preferred ASE certifications Experience with hydraulic systems Welding and fabrication experience Experience with landscaping, construction, or snow removal equipment Who we are: Beary Landscaping opened with an old pick-up truck in 1985.
