Job Description
Job Overview Forge Truck Centers is one of the nation's leading specialized truck dealerships, providing a premier lineup of heavy-duty trucks across the country. We are rapidly expanding and seeking a skilled Heavy Truck Diesel Technician to join our team. This role is critical to our operation, ensuring trucks are diagnosed, repaired, and delivered efficiently to meet production and customer timelines. The ideal candidate has strong diagnostic ability, hands-on mechanical experience, and the ability yo perform in a fast-paced, production-driven shop environment, Experience working on Cummins, CAT, Detroit, and Mack engines is highly preferred. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Perform advanced diagnostics on heavy-duty diesel trucks Utilize diagnostic computers and software to identify and repair issues Diagnose and repair wiring and electrical systems Perform emissions diagnostics and repairs Repair and replace suspension and driveline components Remove and replace transmissions and rear ends Perform engine repairs including component replacement and in-frame rebuilds Accurately interpret diagnostic data to complete repairs efficiently Maintain tools and equipment in proper working conditions Ensure all work meets company quality and safety standards Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment Perform other duties as assigned Minimum Requirements High School Diploma or GED Minimum 3+ years of verifiable heavy-duty diesel technician experience Strong mechanical and diagnostic knowledge Experience with Cummins and Paccar engines (required) Ability to communicate effectively with team members and leadership Must provide own hand tools Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with advanced electrical diagnostics Experience working in a high-volume or dealership environment Experience with CAT, Detroit, and Mack engines Core Competencies Accountability and attention to detail Strong communication Team-oriented mindset Adaptability in a fast-paced environment Commitment to continuous learning Physical Requirements & Work Environment Ability to stand, walk, bend, and work on feet for extended periods Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 75 lbs.
