CUSD 303
is seeking a Bus Mechanic for the 26-27 school year. See the job description for more details.
Minimum Qualifications:
Shall be a qualified mechanic with a minimum of three (3) years of experience, demonstrating the knowledge, skills and ability to independently perform and complete repairs within their assigned trade or area of responsibility. The Maintenance Mechanic must be in good physical condition and pass a State Required Physical Exam. Tasks involve the ability to exert physical effort in heavy work, typically involving some combination of climbing and balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and the lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling of heavy objects and materials up to 50 pounds independently. Maintains a valid Illinois Driver's License and obtains and maintains all required certifications and training relevant to the position, as deemed necessary by the Executive Director of Facilities. Communicate effectively with staff, supervisors, vendors, and building occupants, providing clear and professional information both verbally and in writing.
