In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty equipment, including construction machinery, industrial equipment, and farm machinery. Your expertise will ensure that all vehicles and equipment operate safely, efficiently, and reliably. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with diverse machinery and utilize advanced diagnostic tools while contributing to the seamless operation of our fleet and equipment. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, electrical systems, air brakes, suspension, and HVAC systems using schematics and diagnostic software. Conduct repairs and maintenance on heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors, trailers, and other construction machinery. Troubleshoot equipment issues through automotive diagnostics and electrical diagnostics to identify root causes quickly and accurately. Carry out fabrication tasks including welding, assembly, and modifications to support equipment repairs or upgrades. Replace or repair components such as brake systems, tires, power tools, hand tools, and other mechanical parts following OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) specifications. Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal performance of all machinery and vehicles. Maintain detailed service records, schematics documentation, and repair logs for accountability and future reference. Assist with heavy lifting tasks using appropriate heavy equipment operation techniques to ensure safety during repairs or installations. Provide excellent customer service by communicating repair status clearly and ensuring work meets safety standards. Experience Proven mechanic experience with a focus on diesel engine repair and heavy equipment servicing. Dealership experience is highly desirable for familiarity with OEM parts and repair procedures. Hands-on fabrication skills including welding, soldering, and assembly are essential. Experience working with construction machinery such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors, trailers, and other industrial equipment. Strong electrical experience including electrical diagnostics for various vehicle systems. Knowledge of schematics interpretation for complex mechanical or electrical systems. Familiarity with HVAC systems on heavy machinery is a plus. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during maintenance tasks. Excellent mechanical knowledge combined with proficiency in using power tools and hand tools for repairs. Prior service technician experience in automotive or industrial settings is preferred for versatility in troubleshooting diverse equipment issues.
