Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a mechanical background and experience working with heavy equipment. This role involves diagnosing and repairing diesel engines, ensuring that all vehicles operate efficiently and safely. The Diesel Mechanic will also provide exceptional customer service and support to staff, addressing their needs and concerns regarding their equipment. Responsibilities Diagnose and repair diesel engines and related systems in heavy equipment. Assist with preventative maintenance (PMs), safety, and annual maintenance inspections. Have general knowledge of DOT requirements. Assemble and disassemble components as needed for repairs or upgrades. Utilize welding and fabrication skills to repair or modify equipment parts. Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used. Communicate effectively with customers to explain repairs and maintenance needs. Collaborate with other service technicians to ensure timely completion of work orders. Move vehicles safely between the job and work area. Assist with road calls and emergency services as necessary. Perform other responsibilities as requested or required. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines and heavy equipment operation. Excellent customer service skills to interact positively with clients. Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.

Auto and Diesel Fleet Mechanic Qualifications:

• Valid driver's license required.
• 1-2 years of diesel repair employment experience or a combination of education & experience.
• Must have an appropriate mechanic's toolset.
• Good computer skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Be subject to a drug test.
