Job Description

Dewar Trucking LLC is seeking a skilled Truck and Trailer Mechanic to join our team in Evansville, IN. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diesel engine dianostics and experience in maintaining and repairing trucks and trailers. This role requires a high level of technical proficiency, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance tasks and inspections on trucks and trailers. Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical issues with engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems. Conduct regular inspections of vehicles to identify and address potential problems. Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance activities. Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations. Collaborate effectively with team members and management to achieve organizational goals.
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED required. Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Truck and Trailer Mechanic. Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and air brake systems. Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems in heavy-duty vehicles. Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively. Valid driver's license and clean driving record preferred.
