2+ years preferred About the Position We are looking for an experienced and dependable Heavy-Duty Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining semi trucks, tractors, trailers, and other heavy-duty commercial vehicles . This position is responsible for keeping customer and fleet equipment safe, reliable, and operating with minimal downtime. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, understands the importance of accurate diagnostics, and can work independently while maintaining high-quality standards. Key Responsibilities The Heavy Diesel Mechanic will be responsible for: Diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and computer-related problems on heavy-duty trucks. Performing preventive maintenance and scheduled services. Inspecting trucks and trailers to identify potential problems before they become major repairs. Performing diesel engine diagnostics and repairs. Troubleshooting engine performance issues. Repairing and replacing engine components. Performing transmission inspections, repairs, and replacements. Diagnosing and repairing braking systems. Working on air brake systems and air lines. Diagnosing suspension and steering problems. Repairing suspension components. Performing electrical diagnostics and repairs. Troubleshooting starting and charging systems. Diagnosing wiring, sensors, lights, and other electrical components. Performing cooling-system repairs, including radiators, hoses, water pumps, and related components. Performing fuel-system diagnostics and repairs. Performing aftertreatment/emissions-system diagnostics when applicable. Using diagnostic software and scan tools to identify fault codes and system problems. Performing trailer repairs and inspections. Repairing trailer brakes, lights, wiring, suspension, doors, landing gear, and other components. Performing wheel-end, hub, bearing, and related repairs when qualified. Completing repairs efficiently while maintaining quality and safety standards. Documenting work performed and parts used. Communicating repair findings and recommendations clearly. Maintaining a clean and organized work area. Following company safety procedures and OSHA/workplace safety requirements. Working as part of a team to minimize vehicle downtime. Types of Equipment Experience working on the following equipment is highly desirable: Semi tractors Tractor-trailers Dry vans Refrigerated trailers Flatbed trailers Dump trailers Fleet vehicles Heavy-duty diesel equipment Experience with major diesel engine and truck manufacturers such as Cummins, Detroit Diesel, PACCAR, Volvo/Mack, Freightliner, Peterbilt, Kenworth, International, and Western Star is a strong plus. Required Qualifications The ideal candidate should have: Previous experience as a heavy-duty diesel mechanic or technician. Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills. Experience working on commercial trucks and/or trailers. Ability to diagnose problems accurately and efficiently. Ability to use hand tools and professional diagnostic equipment. Basic to advanced electrical troubleshooting skills. Ability to read and understand wiring diagrams and technical information. Ability to perform preventive maintenance. Ability to safely operate shop equipment and tools. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong attention to detail. Reliable attendance and punctuality. A strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship. Valid driver's license. Ability to lift, carry, and work with heavy parts and equipment. Preferred Qualifications The following qualifications are preferred but may not be required: 2+ years of heavy-duty diesel repair experience. ASE Medium/Heavy Truck certifications. Experience with Cummins, Detroit, PACCAR, Volvo/Mack, or similar engines. Experience with computerized diagnostic systems. Experience with DPF, DEF, SCR, EGR, and other emissions systems. Experience with air brake systems. Experience with trailer repair. Previous fleet maintenance experience. Roadside/emergency repair experience. Welding/fabrication experience. The successful candidate should be willing to learn new diagnostic systems, electronic controls, emissions technology, and repair procedures. Working Environment This is a hands-on position in a heavy-duty truck and trailer repair environment. The technician may be required to: Work indoors and outdoors. Work around heavy equipment and operating vehicles. Work in various weather conditions. Stand, bend, kneel, crawl, and work in confined areas. Lift and move heavy parts and equipment. Work with grease, oil, fuel, and other automotive fluids. Work overtime when necessary to meet customer or fleet needs. Participate in emergency/roadside repairs if required. Physical Requirements The employee must be able to safely perform the physical duties associated with heavy-duty vehicle repair, including: Standing for extended periods. Bending, kneeling, reaching, and climbing. Working underneath trucks and trailers. Lifting and carrying heavy parts and tools. Using hand and power tools. Working in tight or difficult-to-access areas. Safely handling automotive fluids and mechanical components.

Compensation Pay:
