This is a great opportunity for someone to travel Indiana and Kentucky performing repairs and maintenance on high-end specialty turf equipment. Kenney Machinery sells and services heavy duty outdoor power equipment, including construction equipment, to golf courses, sports complexes, parks departments, and other commercial/municipal sites. (Not your typical mowers as seen in lawn and garden stores.) We are the exclusive distributor for The Toro Company and we also service other brands such as John Deere and Jacobsen. All of our equipment needs built to order.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
Custom build and repair hi-tech equipment according to customer specifications. Each piece of equipment ranges from $40k to over $140k. Equipment includes large area mowers, golf course mowers, GPS sprayers, utility vehicles and more. Equipment includes gas, diesel, electric, and hybrid power units.
Required skills:
Ability to efficiently read assembly diagrams and perform assembly per instructions. Proficient with reviewing service manuals and preparing service-related documents as needed. Experienced at preparing repair estimates/quotes.
Beneficial Skills:
Familiarity with heavy duty outdoor power and construction equipment. Experienced at accurately completing work orders. Basic computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word are a plus.
Required Personal Skills:
Candidate must be well-spoken, professional, and polite, especially when communicating with customers, co-workers, and vendors. Self-motivation and positive attitude are essential. Willingness to work as part of a team. Willingness and ability to learn new skills and constantly improve one's abilities.
