Job Title:
Diesel Mechanic Job Description Join our dynamic team as a Diesel Technician in a job shop environment, where you'll handle a variety of equipment including dump trucks, trash compactors, balers, and snow plows. This role offers the opportunity to work on preventative maintenance, hydraulic components, and minor engineering tasks. Responsibilities Perform preventative maintenance on motorized equipment. Work on hydraulic components including rebuilding cylinders and pumps. Engage in minor engineering tasks, excluding total rebuilds. Conduct transmission work and electrical troubleshooting related to trucks. Perform minor fabrication work. Essential Skills 3-5 years of experience as a diesel technician. Proficiency in diesel troubleshooting, repair, and engine work. Experience with pumps, motors, and electrical systems. Ability to rebuild pumps and follow technical prints. Ownership of personal tools. Additional Skills & Qualifications Welding and fabrication experience. Why Work Here? Work Environment The role is based in a Diesel Shop working 1st shift from 6 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday. There is some flexibility in hours, with the possibility to work up to 10 hours per day as needed. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rolling Prairie, IN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $32.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
