Mainstreet CDJR is expanding and seeking Automotive Technicians to join our high-energy, team-focused service department. As an Automotive Technician at Mainstreet CDJR, you will diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles while delivering high-quality workmanship in a fast-paced environment. Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Diesel and Transmission Technician to join our dynamic team, offering an exciting opportunity with a sign-on bonus of up to $6,000. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty diesel engines, transmissions, and related equipment. Your expertise will ensure the optimal performance and safety of our fleet and machinery. This position is perfect for motivated technicians eager to apply their mechanical knowledge in a fast-paced environment that values quality workmanship and customer satisfaction. Duties Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, brakes, and electrical components across various heavy equipment and vehicles Perform routine maintenance including oil changes, tire service, alignment, and air brake inspections to keep equipment operating at peak efficiency Fabricate parts and components using welding, soldering, hand tools, and power tools to meet specific repair needs Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex issues on excavators, cranes, forklifts, farm machinery, industrial equipment, and tractor-trailers Conduct vehicle diagnostics using specialized automotive diagnostic tools to identify mechanical or electrical faults accurately Repair or replace shocks & struts, HVAC systems, shocks & struts, wheel alignments, and other critical components for optimal performance Maintain detailed service records and communicate effectively with customers regarding repairs and maintenance needs Skills Proven dealership or heavy equipment service technician experience with a strong mechanical background Extensive knowledge of diesel engine repair, transmissions, hydraulics, electrical systems, and automotive diagnostics Skilled in fabrication techniques including welding and soldering; capable of working with schematics for troubleshooting complex systems Experience operating heavy machinery such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors, and trailer-trucks Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, tire service equipment, and maintenance procedures for industrial equipment Ability to lift heavy components safely during repairs; strong attention to safety standards and protocols Excellent customer service skills with clear communication abilities to explain repairs effectively Join us as a Diesel and Transmission Technician if you're passionate about maintaining heavy machinery with precision and care.
