Job Description

Job Overview Diesel Mechanic with at least 4 years experience in a repair shop - the more experience the better. Extra credit if you have worked on some heavy trucks as well. Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, air brakes, electrical systems, and other critical components using schematics and diagnostic tools. (We do not repair transmissions, we just completely replace bad ones). We work on various brands of trucks - GM, Ford, Peterbuilt. For instance, we sometimes work on F250 (gas), F250 diesel, F350, F450, F550, etc. Sometimes we conduct repairs and maintenance on small cranes in the back of the pickups and trailers. Troubleshoot equipment issues through electrical diagnostics and mechanical inspections to identify root causes swiftly. Service heavy equipment by replacing worn parts, adjusting alignments, performing brake repairs, suspension work, tire services, and HVAC system maintenance. Maintain documentation for all repairs performed. May conduct routine safety check in inspections. We do service a few gas cars and trucks. Requirements Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic with shop or dealership experience preferred; strong background in heavy equipment servicing is essential. Extensive knowledge of diesel engine diagnostics, automotive diagnostics, transmissions, hydraulics, electrical systems, and construction machinery maintenance. Skilled in diagnostic software; ability to read schematics accurately. Very competitive pay if you have the needed experience and skills.
Pay:
$22.50 - $35.12 per hour
