Job Description
We're looking for a Diesel Mechanic to join our shop team in Towanda, KS. If you enjoy diagnosing problems, keeping equipment running, and working in a shop where your skills are valued, we'd love to talk with you. Whether you're an experienced diesel technician or a mechanic with strong heavy equipment or truck repair experience, we encourage you to apply. What You'll Do Diagnose and repair diesel trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment. Perform preventive maintenance and inspections. Repair engines, transmissions, clutches, differentials, hydraulic systems, fuel systems, air systems, and electrical components. Repair brakes, steering, suspension, drivelines, and foundation components. Diagnose electronic controls and troubleshoot equipment issues. Inspect equipment to ensure it meets DOT safety standards. Complete work orders accurately and communicate repair needs with the Shop Foreman. Identify additional repairs or safety concerns before equipment returns to service. Assist with repairs on custom-built equipment as needed. What We're Looking For Two or more years of diesel, heavy truck, agricultural, construction equipment, or heavy equipment repair experience preferred. Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and air brake systems. Experience performing preventive maintenance on diesel equipment. Technical school or diesel certification is a plus, but not required. Ability to work independently while being part of a team. Strong communication and organizational skills. Must provide your own basic mechanic tools for Class 8 truck and trailer repairs. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
