Gypsum Express, Ltd. Gypsum Express, Ltd. is hiring a Diesel Mechanic / Truck & Trailer Technician for our Carrollton, KY facility. This role is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining company trucks and trailers to ensure safe, DOT-compliant operation—both on-site and at off-site service locations when needed. What You'll Do Diagnose and repair trucks and trailers following company and DOT standards Perform inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure safe operation Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues Maintain equipment in compliance with DOT regulations Complete repairs efficiently to support fleet uptime and customer needs Follow all safety policies, shop procedures, and plant regulations What We're Looking For Strong knowledge of DOT regulations related to vehicle safety and inspections Hands-on experience repairing diesel trucks and trailers Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills Experience using hand and power tools Ability to climb, crawl, and work in/under vehicles Ability to lift up to 75 lbs occasionally Valid KY driver license Professional attitude and strong work ethic Preferred Skills Prior fleet or heavy-duty truck maintenance experience Strong attention to detail and safety Reliable, self-motivated, and team-oriented What We Offer Competitive pay Comprehensive benefits package: Medical, Dental & Vision Life & Disability Insurance 401(k) with company match Stable, full-time work with a growing national carrier Family-owned, family-operated, family-oriented culture
