As we expand across our markets, we're looking for skilled, hands-on people who take pride in keeping equipment running right. That's where you come in.

We're looking for a Diesel Mechanic to join our maintenance team. In this role, you will perform preventative maintenance and repairs on tractor and trailer equipment, complete work orders with proper coding such as reason for repair, condition, cause, and correction, and manage the warranty process from start to finish. Safety, accuracy, and attention to detail are critical, and the ideal candidate takes pride in doing the job right.

ResponsibilitiesPerforms preventative maintenance and repairs on tractor and trailer equipment.

Diagnoses mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues on garbage trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment.

Completes work orders with proper coding, including reason for repair, detailed description of condition, cause, and correction.

Properly completes the warranty process on covered repairs.

Helps establish and maintain shop procedures and preventative maintenance schedules.

Maintains a clean, organized, and safe shop environment.

Orders parts and maintains accurate inventory records.

Performs other duties as assigned.

QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Diesel maintenance experience on garbage trucks, truck/trailers, and/or heavy equipment required.

Own hand tools required; specialty tools provided by the company.

Valid driver's license required; CDL a plus but not required.

Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and work orders.

Physical Requirements and Work EnvironmentRegularly lifts and carries tools, parts, and equipment up to 50 pounds.

Frequently bends, kneels, crawls, and works in tight spaces to access vehicle components.

Extended periods of standing, and occasional overhead reaching and lifting.

Work is performed primarily in a shop environment, with occasional exposure to noise, fumes, and varying temperatures.

May occasionally travel to perform roadside repairs on trucks or trailers.
