Job Description
Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing heavy equipment used in construction and industrial settings.Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine maintenance on heavy equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, and loaders
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues
- Perform vehicle maintenance tasks including oil changes, brake adjustments, and tire replacements
- Read and interpret equipment schematics for troubleshooting
- Fabricate parts as needed using welding and cutting equipment
- Inspect and test heavy machinery to ensure functionality
- Use hand tools to disassemble and reassemble components
- Operate forklifts to move equipment within the workshop
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic or similar role
- Proficiency in automotive diagnostics and repair techniques
- Strong knowledge of hydraulics systems in heavy machinery
- Ability to weld and fabricate parts when necessary
- Familiarity with forklift operations
