The ideal candidate for this role is an individual who is familiar with the latest engine technologies, as well as tools and machines used for general maintenance and repairs. A successful candidate will be equipped with the knowledge and skills required to diagnose, troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues in tractor trailers and diesel engines across a variety of heavy equipment such as loaders, excavators, screeners, grinders, conveyors and forklifts.
Responsibilities:
Diesel and Heavy Equipment Mechanic responsibilities include performing service from basic tune-ups to engine overhauls. Troubleshoot malfunctions to determine cause, formulates repair plans. Diagnose and repair vehicles for minor body/ fender work. Welding joints, replace or repair/ fabricate components as needed. Remove body panels to access sites of damage, make repairs, & reassemble parts and bodywork. Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical problems with tractor trailer trucks and equipment. Diagnose and repair electrical systems utilizing electrical diagrams and diagnostic equipment. Interpret wiring/ electrical, and engine diagrams to diagnose problems; make repairs. Inspect fuel & brake lines, steering mechanisms, and make repairs. Test drive vehicles & equipment before & after repairs to test functionality. Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; complies with legal codes and regulations. Welding experience a must. Driver's license required. Class A and hoisting license are a plus. Three to five years of experience required.

$25.00 - $30.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 - 50.0 per week
