Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics using schematics, automotive electrical systems, and mechanical knowledge to identify issues accurately. Conduct repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspensions, brakes, shocks & struts, and other mechanical systems. Maintain and repair heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and tractor-trailers with precision and attention to detail. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and soldering techniques to execute repairs and fabrication tasks effectively. Conduct routine maintenance including vehicle inspections, tire service, air brake adjustments, wheel alignments, and equipment lubrication. Interpret technical manuals and schematics to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical systems efficiently. Ensure all work complies with safety standards and industry regulations while delivering exceptional customer service. Skills Proven dealership experience or extensive background in heavy truck repair and industrial equipment maintenance. Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, HVAC systems, and vehicle electrical systems. Skilled in using schematics for diagnostics and repairs on heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and farm machinery. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other maintenance tools essential for equipment repair. Experience with automotive diagnostics software and electronic testing devices to troubleshoot vehicle systems accurately. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while working on large machinery or vehicles in various environments. Excellent customer service skills combined with a proactive approach to equipment maintenance and repair tasks.
