Job Description

MJD Excavating, Inc. is looking to add a new Diesel Mechanic to our team! We are a family and veteran-owned company based out of Rehoboth, MA, with over 30 years of experience in both commercial and residential excavation. As a Diesel Mechanic at MJD, you will perform regular, preventative maintenance, as well as minor and major repairs, on an array of light and heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and equipment. Our Diesel Mechanics work Monday-Friday, with possible overtime on Saturdays. Repairs and maintenance will be performed at our shop as well as in the field. We are looking for a knowledgeable, trustworthy individual with the drive to become a valuable part of our team. Our ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience as a diesel mechanic, a valid and up-to-date driver's license, and a reliable vehicle.
Responsibilities/Skills/Qualifications:
Ability to work on pickup trucks, heavy duty trucks, trailers, heavy duty equipment, and small machines Preventative maintenance Minor and major repairs Shop maintenance and cleanliness Parts ordering Record keeping Troubleshooting skills Diagnostic skills Communication skills Problem solving skills Physical stamina required (i.e. ability to withstand heat, cold; ability to lift heavy objects) Highschool diploma or equivalent preferred Continuing education as a diesel mechanic preferred

$15.00 - $45.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 - 50 per week
