DIESEL / HEAVY EQUIPMENT MECHANIC
Description:
We are looking for a skilled and experienced Mechanic to join our team at our high-volume granite quarrying and curb fabrication facility in Westford, MA. In this role, you will assist with a variety of tasks, ensuring all equipment is maintained, repaired, and operable in this industrial/construction environment. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and a proactive attitude. Construction industry background would be helpful but not necessary. Responsibilities /Requirements:
- Must have at least 12 months of diesel technician / mechanic experience.
- Must be familiar with hydraulic systems, as well as air brakes. Equipment includes but is not limited to loaders, forklifts, cranes, trucks, generators, granite cutting saws, trains, drills, and compressors.
- Must be physically fit & capable of lifting at least 70 pounds frequently; manual dexterity, bending, & stooping required.
- Strong attention to detail; organization and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Able to work independently.
