We are looking for an experienced Diesel Mechanic Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate is a hands-on mechanic who enjoys diagnosing problems, repairing equipment, and getting machines back to work. You will work on a variety of diesel-powered heavy equipment, construction equipment, agricultural equipment, and commercial vehicles . This is a hands-on position involving both troubleshooting and repair. What You'll Do Diagnose and repair diesel engines and heavy equipment Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and fuel-system problems Perform preventive maintenance and scheduled service Diagnose and repair electrical systems using wiring diagrams and diagnostic equipment Repair or replace engines, transmissions, hydraulic components, brakes, suspension components, and other equipment systems Perform inspections and identify potential equipment problems before they become major repairs Perform field service calls and equipment repairs at customer locations as needed Use hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and shop equipment safely Perform welding and basic fabrication when needed Disassemble and reassemble equipment and components Maintain accurate service and repair records Communicate with customers and team members regarding equipment problems and completed repairs Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Equipment You'll Work On Depending on your experience, you may work on: Excavators Cranes Forklifts Tractors Trailers Construction equipment Heavy Duty Trucks Industrial equipment Diesel-powered vehicles and machinery What We're Looking For Previous professional experience as a diesel mechanic, heavy equipment mechanic, or service technician Strong mechanical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills Experience working with diesel engines Ability to diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical problems Ability to read and understand basic wiring diagrams and schematics Comfortable using mechanic hand tools and power tools Valid driver's license Ability to safely lift, move, and work around heavy equipment and components Ability to work independently and as part of a team Preferred Heavy construction equipment experience Agricultural equipment experience Hydraulic troubleshooting experience Electrical diagnostic experience Welding/fabrication experience Air brake experience HVAC experience Experience with OEM diagnostic software CDL Diesel or manufacturer certifications You do not need to be an expert in every system listed above.
