Job Description

Are you an experienced Heavy Duty Technician who takes pride in delivering quality repairs and preventative maintenance? Do you enjoy solving mechanical problems and working alongside a team that values safety, reliability, and continuous improvement? We're looking for a Tractor/Trailer Technician to join our growing maintenance team in Auburn, Maine . In this role, you'll help keep our fleet operating safely and efficiently by performing inspections, diagnostics, preventative maintenance, and repairs on heavy-duty tractors and trailers. What You'll Do:
Perform preventative maintenance on tractors and trailers Inspect fleet equipment and identify mechanical issues Diagnose electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and engine-related problems Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining high-quality workmanship Troubleshoot recurring issues and communicate findings with the maintenance team Enter work orders and maintenance documentation into the computer system Maintain a clean and safe work environment Participate in team meetings and support additional maintenance projects as needed What we're Looking for: Valid driver's license Experience repairing heavy-duty diesel tractors and trailers Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues Comfortable using computers to enter work orders and maintenance records Strong communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to work in various physical positions including standing, walking, bending, twisting, crawling, climbing, kneeling, and working in confined spaces Ability to safely use hand and power tools
Preferred Qualifications:
Certificate from a technical school or diesel technology program Previous heavy truck or trailer maintenance experience Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will also be considered Available shifts may include: 4 x 10-hour First Shift 4 x 10-hour Second Shift Shift assignments are based on business needs and availability at the time of offer.
